And for those using intel video chipsets, the new “i915.invert_brightness=1” boot code offers a fix for the issue of backwards brightness values in the driver. However, the developers note that their only known bug is related to this, and they have added new live boot options to address it.
The icing on the cake for MX Linux 19 is the updated mx-artwork package, which features new wallpaper artwork, and the introduction of the mx-alerts package that allows for emergency messages to be sent to users. Other updates to the mx tools, including a revamped MX boot-repair for situations involving encryption, round out the impressive list of improvements in this release.
